This device is designed to reduce pulsations (pressure fluctuations) that occur with systems that have a positive displacement pump. Rubber bladder is pre-charged with nitrogen up to 50-60% of the system pressure. As water passes by the pulsation dampener, it absorbs the pulsations that come from the movement of water in the system.-
